Embedded Microcomputer Systems: Real Time Interfacing
Presents general design methodologies, with examples, using the Motorola 6805, 6808, 6811, and
6812 microcontrollers. Includes a detailed study of hardware and software components of embedded systems, programming
techniques and style, the development of debugging strategies for embedded systems (from both assembly language
and C language perspectives), and detailed case studies. The CD-ROM contains a simulator which allows students
to visualize activity occurring internally in the chip and to connect external hardware devices, as well as PDF,
Examples, Assembly, and Embed directories, and other features.Book News, Inc.®,Portland, OR

Using the M68HC11 Microcontroller
From Book News, Inc.
A text for those with knowledge of basic mathematical operations on binary and
hexadecimal numbers, writing truth or state tables for basic logic gates and
flip-flops, and translating between simple Boolean equations and implementing
logic gates. Each chapter introduces a feature, then presents an application, a
hands-on exercise, a summary, and review questions. Topics include resets and
interrupts, simple-strobed and full-handshake modes, serial communications
interface, serial peripheral interface, free-running counter and input captures,
output compare functions, forced output compares, real-time interrupts, pulse
accumulator, analog-to-digital conversation and fuzzy inference, and expanded
multiplexed mode. Pages are perforated for easy removal. Includes six
explanatory appendices. No bibliography. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc.,

Technician's Guide to the 68HC11 Microcontroller
Technician's Guide to the 68HC11 Microcontroller is ideal for
readers with little or no prior programming experience who want to master the
basics of troubleshooting and programming Motorola's 68HC11 microcontroller.
Both hardware and software are covered in detail to provide a complete
understanding of the principles underlying how a microcontroller works. Theory
is supplemented by examples designed to illustrate how concepts may be applied.

Microcontroller Technology: The 68HC11 (4th edition)
From Book News, Inc.
After introductory material explaining the applications and origins of
microcontrollers, a programmer's view is developed, the hardware is described,
and instructions are given for connection to the outside world for control
applications. The accompanying CD-ROM contains source code, a demo version of
the THRSim11 simulator, a IC11 demo C compiler, a cross assembler, and
electronic design tools. The book can be used as a text in introductory,
interfacing, industrial control courses for students with background in digital
logic and numbering systems. This fourth edition uses C program examples
throughout, and contains new appendices to reinforce key topics. Book News,

M68HC11 Microcontroller Applications in Control, Instrumentation and
Communication
Book News, Inc.
Presents in-depth coverage of the Motorola M68HC11 microcontroller, designed to
help readers develop hands-on experience in both software and hardware. After an
introduction to microcomputers, chapters cover program development, general
interfacing, on-chip I/O resources, programming microcontrollers in C, and
microcontroller-based control, instrumentation, and communications systems.
Includes exercises based on sample programs, case studies, and six end-of-book
projects. Copyright © 1999 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR All rights reserved

Embedded Microcontrollers
The book focuses on the M68HC12 microcontroller from Motorola, but has also been successfully
used in courses that use the M68HC11 family. The development hardware used throughout the text is the Motorola
68HC912B32 EVB. The development software used throughout is the Introl-CODE development system. Except for the
sections that specifically address development using the Introl-CODE system, the C code is all ANSI-C, and therefore
it would be reasonable to use another compiler. The real-time kernel covered in this text is MicroC/OS-II. It is
available in source form and is widely used. Many of the concepts apply to other kernels, especially the applications
for typical kernel services.

This book provides readers with fundamental assembly language
programming skills, an understanding of the functional hardware
components of a microcontroller, and skills to interface a variety of
external devices with microcontrollers. Chapter topics cover an
introduction to the 68HC12, 68HC12 assembly language programming,
advanced assembly programming, fuzzy logic, hardware configuration,
exception—resets and interrupts, the 68HC12 clock module and standard
